Ep 1 | Mark Dillon & Phil Shore

Our 1^st guest is Mark Dillon.  Mark’s earliest memory is of sitting on Dolly Parton’s lap while watching his great-uncle’s country radio show. He grew up.  Started repairing guitars.  Taught high school, got his PhD, and now lives in North Carolina where he teaches at Guilford Tech and UNC Greensboro.

Our 2nd guest is Phil Shore. Born a preacher's kid in Greensboro, through church he discovered music and working crowds. He dropped out of Duke university to go on the road with a children's theatre. The season ended and he enlisted in the army, after which he got married, finished his degree at Duke, and settled in Randolph County.
